News media has a transparency issue. People are losing their trust. The integrity and of reporters is being called into question. news organizations will have to do more than just link their sources to deal with their transparency issue. In an initiative to bring this change, The New York Times will lead by example. Launching "Full Disclosure" - A platform for reporters to share their side of the story - how they investigated the leads, how the evidence was chosen, and other parts of the journalistic process. Through inviting readers behind the scenes, the New York Times will set the standard for news organizations, calling for greater transparency from them.
